Hello! I’m an upcoming senior and I’m super interested in the UC schools, more specifically the arts/film schools in UCLA. However, I’ve realized that the Personal Insight Questions are super…specific? I can answer all the ones asking about your creative side, greatest skill, etc., but I’m worried it’ll become too repetitive; just me going on about loving to draw and paint all the time and how I’ve improved. Is it a better idea to write about different subjects?
It’s always good to have at least one of the four essays talk about what you plan to do in the future, any careers you’re interested in, etc. Hobbies and extracurriculars are great things to mention, but you’re going to choose a major for college. However, if you’re planning to major in something related to the arts, I think those are great topics. Just try not to make essays sound too similar.
