My s had a wonderful note penned by the dean at the bottom of his admission letter. It made reference to his application. The dean must have had my son's application file in front of him when he signed the letter. My s was very impressed by that individual attention.
Did anybody else get similar treatment?

I did - I heard it was universal for CMC acceptees? Anyway, I was truly impressed; and although it was only a couple sentences, it meant a lot to me that they took that kind of trouble.

i did too. i bet a lot of applicants did. creates a greater draw to the college.

READERS: IF YOU DID TOO—OR DIDNT— PLEASE SAY SO!!! im curious :P

I did too but im sure it had nothing to do with “drawing” me to the college as I was an ED applicant, just shows the personal nature of the college.

I got one, but it was pretty simple. Like the poster above me, I was an ED applicant so they didn’t exactly have to convince me to come.

I did! It said I was a very strong match for the school and they want me. hahah it was a nice touch =)

D got one as well. She likes the personal touch!

I got one too RD. Plus it said I was “unamimously voted” for admission lol. Did you guys get that too?

I got in RD, it also said unanimously voted and the note at the bottom said “I think you and CMC are a good FIT”

i got one too! i said somthing like… u had a very strong application
:)

I did! It said " Great application overall, especially your essays!"

Haha, mine said “great application, especially your essays!” too… then they added “We love how passionately you described your experience with speech and debate.” It was a nice touch, but I still can’t afford the $53k a year.
