Okay so I've read it is okay to go over the Essay Length by 10-20 words, but what is acceptable amount of words if you do not reach 1000 words. Right now I have a combined word count for both essays of about 810, still working on prompt 1 right now and don't see myself adding another 200 words maybe about 50-100, but I would still be under 1000. Anyone know this answer.

Noooooo, that is no longer the case. The new UC application interface won’t let you submit the application unless your personal statement is 1,000 words or less.

Thank you Ms Sun but if I were to submit a combined word count of 800-900 would that be fine

Yes, you are fine as long as you do not exceed 1,000 words. Personally I think a concise, powerful essay is better than a long, meandering one.

Thank you I thought the same thing, I did not want to keep dragging on since I had already answered the questions they had asked with what I believe is a good response.

I’m sure the tired and blurry-eyed admission officers will thank you for getting straight to the point!
