Personal Statement wording question

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I'm in the process of finishing my 2nd application for UW-Tacoma.</p>

<p>In my personal statement, should I state UW-Tacoma as "The University of Washington Tacoma" or "The University of Washington." One of my friend told me that I should not make UW-T feel small, and since they're basically the UW, I should just write "The University of Washington."</p>

<p>Can you please tell me your opinion?</p>

<p>and if you applied to Tacoma or Bothell before, which kind of wording did you use?</p>

<p>I applied to CSS at UW Bothell previously as a contingency plan. I specifically referred to them as Bothell (to avoid confusion since I was planning on transferring from Seattle) and I was accepted (though I didn’t chose to attend). I don’t think it’s a big deal either way.</p>
