I am applying to integrated biomedical PhD programs. How much detail should I include about my undergraduate research?? And has anyone used *********?? If so, is it worth it?

I dont know why starred it out.

It's starred out because it's against the terms of service to refer to competitor sites.

You should include quite a bit of detail about your undergraduate research -- this is much of the point of the statement of purpose for a biology program.

should the detail be used as a way to highlight why you're a good candidate/love science/etc, or is the purpose of writing about your research only to show you can write about science?

i wrote about my research in the personal statement to show that I had a lot of experience, what my previous research had taught me, and that I knew what I was getting into.

As ec1234 points out, it's all of the above. You want to show that you have a strong research background, that you know what you did there, and that you know how to talk about it in a comprehensible way. You also want to show that you figured out that you want to do this full-time for the next 5-6 years of your life.
