Hey all,

Writing here because I am personally unsure of what to do in my situation at hand:

recap of life / hs:

(did bad in hs, graduated with a 2.1 / 2.3 weighted?)
i had AP classes, scraped by with C's and got 2's on AP exams.

community college:
at a 2 year institution in california...

fall 2009:
2.1 with a W in math and a D in poli sci

spring 2009:
3.46 (2 B's / 2 A's)

summer 2009:
3.0

----current day-----

i do feel that my grades are on a upward trend (definitely not top % in terms of GPA but i sincerely don't feel that it's an accurate portrayal of who i am)

Now that brings into question of my tenative educational goals / plan.

I'm majoring in Business Adminastration where I'll be planning on graduating in Fall 2010 with a AA degree. (fufilling my pre reqs for UC transfer right now)

I cannot apply right now to any UC due to my low GPA and having hardly any pre-reqs fufilled, although i do believe that i should pull in at least a 3.5+ for this year.

Now in fall 2010 i'd be applying for fall 2011.
(is this acceptable and take spring off??)

The reason i would like to apply for fall 2011 is for three reasons:
1. to earn a little money for future college expenses / costs (through a full time job)
2. possible business opportunities (i have a contact in a start-up business that may actually get "somewhere")
3. i would rather start school in fall rather than look into transferring in winter / spring / etc etc.

Does this seem like a steady plan for now? What I'm actually worried about is if the UC's wouldnt look highly upon the fact that I didn't finish everything within 2 years with stellar grades.

sorry for the long post,
but thanks if you read it through!
