<p>I understand that Brown is a more laid back campus and I assume they take this into account during the admissions process. I like the way that Brown is set up, but I don’t think that It will seem that way on my application. My major EC is MCJROTC where I am the hold the highest billet. I have a feeling that this could be a disadvantage on my application because of how JROTC students are percieved by colleges. I do believe in having schedules and a set way to do things in certain situations. But when you’re working with some of the greatest minds in the nation, I believe they can forge their own path through college. I guess I’m just concerned that my best EC could end up hurting my chances of admission.</p>

<p>It certainly won’t hurt admissions and could definitely help, but you should seriously consider the fact that it is difficult to do ROTC if you want to continue. You have to go to Providence College to do it and the program is down to just one student. More here:
