Exactly. Therefore, it can assumed that if the word "unimportant" be divided amongst 8 years (leaving grade 9) of equally unimportant grades, it can be assumed that knowing which of the unimportant grades is the actual unimportant grade is rendered unimportant in itself.

Please forgive my stupidity and lack of reading skills.

=_=
No, actually that is a good question. It is just that the grade which I skipped is unimportant - A brilliant individual such as yourself should not degrade oneself over such unimportant matters. :)

Agreed. Geniuses stick together. lol. Completely off the topic: Do you know any good websites or simple resources about superstring theory? I'm doing a project about it in Science class and I'm thinking about making a website, but I don't know much about it yet.

I believe it is six hours a day.

It's six hours per week.

And I don't think you have to devote that much time to EC's to get in. Soccer probably takes up about four hours per week. My honors band takes two. The School Band takes up five hours per week. School swimming (when it starts in Dec.) will take up about eight hours per week. I might not do the competitive swimming thing. Two hour practices EVERY DAY. ughh.. lol. Oh, and the quiz bowl team. That only takes about an hour a week, though. :) lol

See, with a lot of you guys, you have EC's that are very focused. My are kind of all over the place, but I try to take advantage of pretty much everything my school offers. I have two sports (swimming and soccer), and two bands, plus an academic team. Alllll overrrrr...

I don't know if schools like well rounded kids, or extremely focused kids.

It is the one which loves what they do.

Anyway, as of today my plans are screwed over. School district doesn't accept Stanford's EPGY; had a personal talk with the principal.

All the more to reason to go to Exeter. I shall put into my app my life; for my life depends on my app.

"The Elegant Universe" By Somebody. :p
http://www.sukidog.com/jpierre/strings/
Hope that helps!

What's EPGY? Thanks for the links, I'm reading "The Fabric of the Cosmos" by John Greene (same guy who wrote "Elegant Universe"). As far as I know, you have a very good chance of getting into Exeter with your dedication and passion for their two strongest subjects.

Jonathan: I think that the schools want not a well rounded student, but a well-rounded student body. (Urggh. I hate that phrase! It makes it sound like they want their students to be like some sort of Buddha) Often, well-rounded students can make up the well-rounded student body, but they need focused people that are exceptional at one thing (besides being good at other things) like Chaostheory here.

OMG I want to study string theory!! (Just realized how contradictory that sentence sounds) Ever since I've been in 3rd grade I've wanted to be a physicist...

Anyway, Jonathan, 2 hr. practices ROCK!! I, however, beat you: 2 3/4 hr practice 4x a week, 1 3/4 the rest except meets.. of course, 30 min. dryland. Just got back from swimming.... 20 100s on 1:45!! WOOT!!!

Edit: Just realized that:

Dude---using the word 'random' three times in one sentence is quite an accomplishment. Maybe you could put that on your Exeter app.

is an extremely funny quote. Bravo.

(Sorry, I'm very very hyper now)

Holy cow. .. .

^^Yeah, I wish I was that passionate about something.

whatever, Tommeister, you're a genius who's like the smartest in your state... you shouldn't be talking.:)

Like I said in my chances thread, no more compliments (unless they're really witty or funny). I would rather have something that I really loved doing, that completely defined me, than be the smartest in my state.

NERD! :) personally, I love compliments (any kind;))

also I don't think I read that thread....sorry

Okay then....you're the best thing to hit Toronto since the Maple Leaves.

ha, ha... that was lame. anyways what's with your location? Am the only one who actually told the truth...maybe i'll change it.

Anyways the maple leafs are the crappiest hockey team ever! Note: they didn't even make in into the playoffs this year!!!

I don't follow hockey at all. I can't seem to get into it, even though it's a big thing where I live.

you're not the only one who told the truth about your location; you're just in the minority. People think it's funnier and more interesting if you say something witty.

Hockey is like the only thing that happens in toronto, and we haven't won a stanley cup since 1967... that's how lame Toronto is...

Wait, do you live in Canada? I didn't know that people were obsessed with hockey in USA...

I don't live in Canada, and if I told you where I lived, I'd have to..... it's somewhere on this forum anywhoo.

Me neither. I'm sure it's way more popular in New England, though, than it is in like... California.

I live in Michigan with my mom right now, and like no one plays hockey. It's all football and basketball.

People think it's weird that I play soccer and tennis.

But in Viriginia, it's all Lacrosse and Soccer. lol At least that's how it was when I was down there...

okay, I give up. Don't feel like lookingsigh....
Also, why r u always on when i'm on, it's awesome. It's the same with Jonathan1.
Aren't u ever busy?
