Persuade me! Accounting or MIS?

<p>I am STUCK at choosing which major to go for. I read a lot of info about accounting, and its definitely challenging. I do not know much about MIS but just tech/business dude. </p>

<p>Can someone help me to decide.... I mean just give me some pro/con... or just tell me something so I can go on....</p>

<p>Money - not that big to talk about it.ACC makes more for sure. but the difference?
Knowledge- Is MIS just sort of general as a major?</p>

<p>Accounting is always needed,but is MIS the same?(In a long run) Does MIS have any potential to go for long? I just feel like MIS will fade away in this decade or something</p>

<p>Persuade yourself. I kinda chuckle when I see potential business majors ask others to choose their destiny. Do some soul searching, see what you actually LIKE to do, and choose that.</p>

<p>Also, why are you confined to these two majors? Do you have a genuine interest in them, or are you strictly interested in making $? If the latter is true, then stay out of business.</p>

<p>how about majoring in both? your state will probably required you to have at least 150 credits in order to sit for the CPA. In addition, a lot of accounting majors do a minor in MIS so it’s not unusual.</p>
