Beautiful dog.

This was posted for International Cat Day elsewhere. This one is really an international cat…born in Rwanda.

International Cat! S2 rescued a 4 mo old kitten in Kyiv who kept hanging outside the school where S taught. Yuri clearly does not lack for treats and love. They evacuated to Lviv in late January 2022. Yuri was not amused about taking the train.

Your pup is a cutie! I’m a sucker for little shaggy dogs! The grooming gets easier for sure once they transition fully to the adult coat. I had two havanese (just lost the second one at age 16 a couple weeks ago) and I kept them in full coats for the first several years. It’s definitely doable if you have the time and they look so cute! I learned to bathe them and do the little trims myself but once we quit with the full coat I started using a groomer. The most important time to brush is the night after a bath to avoid mats.

We are currently without a pet so here’s a photo of the newest grand-dog. He’s a rescued purebred mini Aussie. Loves to fetch. Very cuddly.

This is Wolf Cat - The stray who lives on our porch. She waits all day for H to sit outside with her on his lap. She is completely deaf.

We think she might be the sibling of Jones. We used to have a stray called Flip who had a litter of kittens with Blackie in 2014. All of the kittens left except two. Jones and Gray. Gray was H’s favorite but she got into antifreeze and died and thus Jones came inside.

Anyhow, we think Wolf Cat went to live across the street and the elderly couple used to take care of her. They said they didn’t want her inside, but didn’t want her to have kittens, so they had her spade. They sold their house several years back, and not long after Wolf Cat showed up here. And since she hasn’t had any kittens in the years that we’ve known her, I’m guessing she’s the one. But she’s been a stray way too long to bring inside with a house of 4 cats.

Not trying to be rude but that cat looks very smart. Are you sure she isn’t just ignoring you?

No. You can walk outside with her right there and she won’t move until she feels vibrations. Same with loud noises like lawn mowers, leaf blowers. She won’t flinch ever for anything or anyone. And it’s been this way for several years now

Like I said very smart😀

Ivy, my pandemic rescue, who had been found on a rural farm. She is now an indoor cat, who on rare occasion will escape for a few minutes to sit under a bush next door.
