I took Intro to Physics during fall of this past year and got a C in it. It significantly brings down my GPA and I am looking to apply to UCLA this coming Fall. What are the chances of petitioning to get it changed to a "Credit" instead of having it a letter grade? I go to Moorpark Community College if that helps. Thanks!

Can't do that, you're supposed to elect for no credit/credit midway to your class.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you needed to meet the deadline to file for credit/no credit.

If that were possible I'm pretty sure you would have heard about it on here by now.

sorry, not possible (at least it wasn't at my cc)....you have to petition for cr/nc before the class is over...usually the deadline is a couple weeks into the semester. otherwise, anyone who got a disparaging grade or saw their grade dropping late in the semester would file for cr/nc.

At my cc, the deadline to elect for cr/nc, is the same day for the deadline of dropping a class without a W on your transcript.

^ Same here, and I guess it makes sense that it is on the same day.

I didn't want to start a new thread, I just have quick question. I just wanted to confirm that UCLA will not look at my application or at least consider it until I submit my Fall semester grades. So basically, if I have a 3.43 GPA and raise it to a 3.67 after my Fall semester, they will only look at my 3.67 to consider admitting me.

Yeah, your fall semester will be calculated into your GPA when they review your app.
