PETITION for Pass/No Pass

So i really really missed the deadline to change the grading basis on one of my classes and now I have to petition for it. I guess it's pretty hard to get a petition approved.

Has anyone ever done it and got it approved? What was your excuse/premise for waiting so long?

Someone please help.

im sorta thinking about to do the same thing…

Does UCLA have a pass/fail grading system?

yes we have a pass/no pass system. i take classes with that all the time. however, the only classes you generally have this option for are nonmajor classes and you can only have one class of this grading scale per quarter.

Oh…that’s the catch.
I’m talking Biz/Econ Major. Are the intro classes to this major pass/fail first quarter by any chance?

^^^ All major/pre major classes have to be taken for a letter grade
Pass/No pass is only for good with ge’s and other requirements

Unless you had a documented medical emergency or serious family/personal issues (and I mean serious), it’s not gonna happen. I know many people (including myself, ha) who have tried this and none of us have gotten approved. I wouldn’t even waste time applying, spend that time studying for the class that’s giving you trouble.
