hi, i want to take Asian American studies at a junior college so that i can get rid of the lower division regional specialization requirement at ERC....The lady told me to petition it...so how does this process go about? and what are my chances that the course will be approved? thanks a lot

the petition process is pretty ez. All you have to do is get a GE petition form from the college and ask for your community college class to satisfy/be equivalent to your GE requirement class at ERC. It takes about a few weeks (if not less) for it to be reviewed and approved or denied. From my experiences the individual colleges have a faster turn around time for petition reviews than the departments.

you should start on it now since many colleges that offer summer school classes have their courses online already

where do i get this petition form? can i download it and print it myself, or do i need to pick it up directly at the help desk?
