Petroleum Engineering

Does anybody know how difficult it is to transfer into petroleum engineering from another engineering major? or has anyone here ever done this?

I was admitted to electrical engineering but would like to do petroleum. I hear only 50% of people who apply for a transfer get in. So, what exactly do they look for in a transfer? And when is the earliest I could ask for a transfer?

I’m currently attending my 2nd year in a Dallas Community College. I’m following this Major coursework. The more classes you complete on that list, the higher your chance will be; that is what I was told. (Minimum of 3.0 GPR with 24 Credits)

Hey, transfering inside the engineering school isnt hard. I would say, start in chemical engineering bc they’re both in track C
