Petroleum Engineering

what are my chances of getting into these schools for petroleum engineering. I had a rough first two years of high school, but I have gotten a's in math, and some a's in science. I am a junior right now and currently have straight a's. After this year if i keep my grades up I will finish with a 3.2. If I do great on my act/sat, can I get into these schools:West Virginia, Kansas, Texas Tech.Oklahoma, Penn State, and LSU. Also, my high school is a private college prep school that is known by many colleges, will it help.

That’s awesome that you have been getting all A’s!! If I were you I would explain to the schools you’re applying to what was going on in your life during your freshman and sophomore years. Whether is family issues at home or just a tough time at school everyone has their reasons and I would explain that in your application. That’s awesome that you were able to find a way to be successful and I think that admission officers will admire the fact that you were able to overcome adversity. If you do well on the ACT or SAT (whichever one you’re going to take if not both) I think you will gave great chances to be admitted into Kansas, West Virginia, Texas, etc.

Chance me back
