Their website says that the Princeton financial aid application is due on February 1. But then they say that deadline is to receive the financial aid package with your acceptance decision. So...is February 1 the absolute deadline or just if you prefer to get your package at that time? Because I probably won't be able to get the PFAA done by next week..

yeah im not sure about that as well. did anybody who got in ED receive theier financial aid packages with their decision?

Everyone in ED received financial aid packages with decision.

Preliminary ones, anyways. We still have to do the tax thing and fill out Princeton's stuff to get our final one, apparently.

If you're a little late, I think it's fine. (not necessarily at princeton), some people apply for Fin Aid after they get into the college. And if you already sent in the CSS/FAFSA, they have all the information already. The PFAA is pretty much a repeat of those two forms.

Ok, I just got a letter from the officer saying that the deadline is for the decision being mailed along with the application. Nothing else was said...So is it acceptable to hand it in late?

yeah, what the heck....why do they even want the PFAA, i already sent them CSS and FAFSA which have more than enough information.

OK final answer: You can send the PFAA at any time and you'll be fine, but if you send it by feb 1, you can get the aid package with the application.

I think it suits your interests to send it in as early as possible (although anytime in Feb should be fine) because although technically they probably don't "run out" of money, they might not be able to meet your full need if you send it in really late.

Princeton doesn't need CSS and instead offers PFAA. Do your best to get it in on time.

I thought that if you filled CSS, it basically copies over to PFAA...
whatever, I sent both.
