Hey,
I was just wondering if anyone had any info or input as to a PG year? I have been researching but, I wanted to know more about it as an option, or if anyone has any experience in such process...

Thanks for your time.

Hey,

From what I have gleaned...

PG is for people who want to grow and develop in certain areas (whether it be in Academics, Athletics, or Arts) before heading off to college. For many boarding schools PG year would be a year in which you pursue a sport or another passion and delve into it...

I do not know the actual statistics but in a sample top schools had a higher acceptance rates for those who have done a PG year. Usually there are about 30 people who do a PG (at least in Exeter, I think... Not sure, so do not quote me) and throughout the year they take courses that will help them in their desired major..

This is from what I have gleaned from various posts on CC and on school websites...

If a student stays at the same school for the PG year, do they actually graduate before starting the PG year? Could the student take the PSAT during what would normally be their senior year?

No. The PSAT is only for sophomores and juniors.

i don’t think you can do a PG if you went to the school
