<p>Look at page 4. Colgate is listed as a top producer of PH.Ds form LACs.... The study is old, but I'm sure the stats, if anything, are better now than 10 yrs ago.</p>
<p>:D we got some pretty nice results for our history majors- Yale, Stanford, BC. UMich... for PhD. Right up my alley. Remember grad school relies quite a bit on connections through professors so we have one professor who's very close to Yale, two are from Stanford, and one or two are from UMich. So it's also important to have faculty from top grad programs. Dunno about others. Just happened to see that annoucnement on the history majors' board.</p>

<p>You're a smart guy. A lousy 7k extra won't mean diddly in 10 yeras if Wes is where you think you belong. Not to mention the extra earning power over other colleges if you get into a top grad school b/c of being a Wes alum. If you want to go to Wes, there is always a way.</p>
