I am going next week! Can't wait! I am sure it will be nothing less than amazing!

It was absolutely stunning, I was completely speechless after the show!

Saw Phantom on Broadway during NYC unifieds just 2 weeks prior. This was my 4th time seeing Phantom professionally. So I had low low expectations of what I would see at Elon. I had read of the challenges monetarily and stage size professional theatres had of putting on Phantom. All I expected was merely an experience of Elon's department.

Needless to say - I was totally blown away!! In the playbill the Director explained how unrealistic it would be to copy the professional shows and had her own approach. But as the show unfolded I found nothing lacking from the professional shows I had seen before. It was an amazing accomplishment. We totally loved it and came away feeling we had not been robbed of anything from the play.

Besides not having Crawford and Brightman, the one part of the Broadway show that was lacking compared to the other professional shows I had seen was the Masquerade scene. Elon's Masquerade scene was absolutely exquisite. The choreography was incredible.

It was just another reason wanting to attend Elon catapulted to the top of her list.

Phantom was so great at Elon that I don't even know how to adequately write a post about it! It really showed the creativity of the faculty with the wonderful moving set, excellent special effects and costumes, very professional sound effects, perfect casting, wonderful music and choreography, and the very incredible voices and acting ability of the main cast members. We laughed and we cried. Of course, we're always blown away by everything we see at Elon! Glad you all enjoyed it, too!

I think Ericsmom said it all. Brought out all emotions. Very professional. Can't wait for the next show.

Just returned from visiting our freshman MT daughter at Elon, while her high school senior sister interviewed and wrote an essay for fellows programs. We had the privilege of seeing Phantom of the Opera twice while we were there. I agree with Ericsmom, that I can not even do this production justice by trying to describe it. Truly unbelievably excellent from start to finish. Our D wasn't in the show, but still begged us to come to see it. She is so proud of her program and her school that she just wanted us to see yet again what Elon MT is capable of! And in this case, they were putting on a production that hasn't even been available to colleges until this year (Elon and Baldwin Wallace were chosen by the Rogers and Hammerstein folks to be the first colleges to put on Phantom of the Opera). A HUGE undertaking and yet the results were exquisite! Of course we expected nothing less, since every production we have seen at Elon has been outstanding! Bravo to all involved especially Cathy McNeela (director), Lynne Formato (choreographer) and Ken Lee (music director).
