Pharmaceutical Sciences

Is anyone doing this program or know someone who is it or has graduated with it? How credible is it since it is such it is a relatively new major and the program is still being developed?

i wouldnt worry too much about the “credibility” of it. UCI is a reputable school (it particular in the bio sciences), so really, they can’t afford to have such a large program be crap.

a lot of these bio programs are all very similar, they just change the electives/focus. the pharm sci program just has a lot of specific electives typically taught to graduate students.

the bigger concern in developing the program is often the scaling for undergrads (is it too hard? is the focus too narrow? graduate school is suppose to be a narrow focus, but undergrad education is suppose to be more broad. they need to be specific enough so undergrads can get jobs in the relevant industry, but broad enough so that they are stuck in said industry)

like most bio programs at various schools, the first 2 years are all the same. after that, you apply to specific majors (neruo bio, pharm sci, whatever)
