Pharmacists

I didnt really find a place to post my question about pharmacy. so here is the best i guess lol.

how much do pharmacists make?

suppose i graduate out of Rutgers 6 years program with pharmD degree ( i dunno the actual names and stuff)

..then i get an MBA at a top 15 MBA program....how much money will i start of with...how much will i make after 5 yrs..etc.

pharmacy seems like a good way to make money in a relatively short amount of time. sorry if i sound money crazy. =) the only thing is its a little boring. w.e. if i make money ill be happy.

PS: dont suggest business or IB for me just because i like money. thanks =D

Average Pharmacist Salary. Pharmacist Job, Career Education & Unemployment Help

Being money crazy can be a bad thing; only become a pharmacist if you want to help others out. Do not do it for the money, but do it more so for the sake of goodness! :)

^ I think that is why nobody answered. Nobody wants to help someone get into a career if they are only doing it for the money. Do something you don't find boring that also pays well. You'd hate to become a pharmacist for the money and end up being bored for the rest of your life or deciding to go back to college later on. Do what you love and you will find a way to make money from it.

An MBA will only help you if you want to go into management. Get the PharmD, work for a few years, and then get the MBA. Probably most companies will want you to have a few years of work experience if you are going to oversee other healthcare workers.

Salaries vary by type of employment and geographic area.

I have the same problem, I feel like I'm only doing this for the money. I think I'm just using this as a back up plan. Just in case my whole writing thing doesn't work out.

Salaries don't always correlate with degrees--don't expect to instantly be rich since you have 2342 different degrees.

With that said, Pharmacists make good money, usually in the 6 figures. I'd advise you to first pursue something you are passionate about. If you are after the money, get your PharmD degree and then after 4-5 years, get your MBA.
