Pharmacological Chemistry

Anyone know how the classes for this major are like? and what are the chances of getting into pharmacy school following this degree ?

Classes for this major are rigorous because it requires both the dreaded Physics 2 series AND two quarters of physical chemistry. Your GPA probably won’t be as high as someone who is doing pre-pharmacy in a biology major, but you will be pretty prepared for pharmacy school because it covers most of the coursework that is needed to apply to pharmacy school.

Of course, the chances of you getting into pharmacy school depends not only on your GPA, but also on your letters of recommendation from professors and pharmacists, as well as your extracurricular activities.

As far as I know, they don’t care what major you are; being in Pharmacological Chemistry won’t give you any advantage in terms of admission wise. However, it might prepare you better and the courses should follow the pre-pharm requirement more than any other major.
