so im reserching this major and i had some quick questions i was hoping you could answer:
1. Similar Majors:
i got pharmacology, Chemistrt, Bio-chemistry,Medicinal CHemistry.. and im pretty sure about hose

other majors or minors paired with ..
i would guess a minor in chemistry or biology, but i wasnt really sure

what are possible careers or grad. programs
i know pharmacist is a career and Skaggs for grad. but is there anything else?

What are some Gen-ED courses that would compliment this major?
this one caught me by confusion, so im really not too sure about this one.

someo f hte top colleges with this major?
with this major specifically, i know UCSD does it, and UCI has Pharmacology as a major. but is there any others that have it... i looked around on google but all i got was UCSD.

BTW:
are there any possible internship opportunities available through the campus? im guessing that Scripps would be helpful for internship and all.

if you answer alteast some of these questions, all would be appreciated.. thanks

And a fun fact please!!

(is your keyboard broken or something?)

yeah, but since the majority of classes are open to anyone, you could take those classes even if you were an english major (and had the necessary prereqs)

why would you major in biochem (which is what pharm, biochem, chemical bio, medchem are all derivatives of) and minor in something so related? minors are for your interest alone, not to impress grad programs.

lots. pharm, med, dental schools, PhD programs, work in pharma companies

it’s GENERAL education. it’s really not meant to accompany your major, rather to give you a broad base of knowledge. in fact, you’ll see that some of them have a warning like “if you major in something sciencey, this class needs to be something non-sciencey”

ok, pharm chem differs from the biochem major by like, two classes. just because a school doesn’t call it pharm chem doesn’t mean you can get a comparable education elsewhere.

internships largely don’t present themselves to you. it’s up to you to seek them out. talk to professors, attend seminars, blast your CV to companies, wait, and pray.

fun fact: i have a master’s degree in pharmacology but know nothing about it

ahh sry for all those typos… haha didnt see them till you told me :)
