My d in aiming for the 8yr PharmD. Last year all the news was that there was a pharmacy shortage, lots of jobs, go for it. Now it seems to have turned around and jobs are hard to find. Now she’s questioning spending 7 more years getting a useless degree. Does anyone have thoughts on this?

I was recently reading this somewhat negative article about academia, and was surprised to read comments (near the end of those posted) that basically support what you are saying about the market being poor for Pharmacists. It also knocks the PharmD degree, which I knew nothing about.
