My kid hasn't looked too hard at Wilkes, hoping for a bigger school. Duquesne has a 0-6 program about the same cost as Wilkes. It has different admission standards for Pharmacy than for the rest of the school, which we understand is very competitive. SUNY Buffalo is an incredible value, but we know a kid who went there as a prepharmacy student and got "weeded out" in the freshman chemistry classes. As we understand it, it's common practice to throw hard science classes at the potential science majors the first year....and this kid ended up changing majors. It's still high on my kid's list, though. He also went to Pharmacy Camp at Toledo, and really liked the school. Toledo only admits kids into Pharmacy School from its own school, so the odds are a little better -- however, there are still more than 2 applicants for every opening. I hear Albany School of Pharmacy is a good bet, but it's another smaller school so I don't know whether my kid would consider it. Ohio Northern is another 0-6 program, but it's very expensive. We heard that they offer a lot of scholarship money, but I don't have any specific info on it. Good luck!!!
