Pharmacy vs. Business Major

Hi. I got accepted as a pharmacy major at Northeastern University in Boston. I think being a pharmacist is a very good profession, there's job security, good starting salary, etc., but do you think a business major such as accounting or marketing would be more rewarding? I want to earn a decent salary, something I can live comfortably off of and have an interesting and fulfilling job at the same time. I've been considering switching over to Northeastern's business school, which should be easy to do assuming it's less selective than the pharmacy school. I have about $17,000 in loans/yr for Northeastern and if I stay on the pharmacy track, I should be able to pay those off fairly easy. Would the same be true for accounting or marketing majors? Which major is the best in terms of salary and overall job quality? Also, for marketing or accounting majors, would I have to go to graduate school in order to get a good job?

This is kinda late but from what I've read and heard from other people, pharmacy is a harder major but once you graduate, you're pretty much set. Because of the great demands, it shouldn't be too hard getting a job and the salary is pretty sweet.

But I kinda know what you mean about having a more fulfilling job. I'd rather take social work but pharmacy is a more practical major. I'm sticking with the latter.

Marketing/business might give you more competition because more people are taking such majors. I don't know how great overall it would be though.

I wish you luck on your decisions.

What if we DOUBLE major in pharmacy and business? Get an executive job at Phizers (sp?)? I wonder...
