<p>All pharmacy students I know are employed upon graduation, often before. Some may not be in the exact company or town they prefer, but pretty darn close.</p>
<p>I would also be interested in knowing about engineer placement.</p>
<p>Starting salaries of pharmacists are quite high, the average being around 70, but in states with higher standards of living, intro runs about 90.</p>
<p>I don't think one is better than the other...it's all dependant on what you like. As much as I hear about engineers getting outsourced, all of the engineers I know have good paying jobs and none I know have any problems with outsourcing. I'd like to know how bad this problem really is.</p>
<p>i heard engineers unfortunately suffer from unemployment as they get older because the ideal engineer is with around 2-5 years experience. i hope to get into a profession where your more respected as you get older and get more experience.</p>
<p>Where on earth did you hear that? I know many engineers who've worked for decades.</p>
