Pharmacy

i'm an upcoming senior, interested in applying for pharmacy in UF, and are SAT subject tests needed for application, such as chem, math, etc?

UF does not consider SAT subject test (or AP Test scores) for admission. They also don’t consider letters of recommendations.

Good Luck!

Thank you Gator88NE!

i found this:
“Freshmen heading toward a pre-medicine, pre-dentistry, pre-pharmacy, pre-veterinary medicine, engineering or hard science college curriculum generally will be required to submit SAT II scores in chemistry and/or mathematics level II-C prior to registering for many UF courses.” (http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/catalogarchive/99-00-catalog/admissions.html</a>)

so does this mean that certain majors require students to take the SAT II?

Not for Admission. The link is talking about using these test for class placement. However, that link is old (1999-2000), please don’t use it! For example, UF no longer does early admissions.

http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/</a></p>

UF now uses the ALEKS test for math and chemestry placement. This test is taken after being admitted to UF They will also use your SAT II scores (and AP test scores), but it’s optional.

For admissions, UF treats all freshman as one group, without special requirements based on major. The only exception would be Freshman who have did dual enrollment and have earned an AA degree. These students also have to apply to a college (and meet that college’s requirements).

Good Luck!

@Gator88NE thank you so so so much for answering my questions! you’ve cleared my uncertainties!! again, thank you so much :)
