so i'm a high school senior, in the process of applying to college. i want to do pharmacy, specifically at mcphs or usciences, but i'm scared that i am going to fail out. i hardly know chemistry because my ap chem teacher never gave us tests/quizzes. i have a 3.7 gpa and 1960 on the sats. what are my chances of getting into pharmd program at mcphs or usciences? and for those who are currently in the program, how is it? are there free tutors there? have u been close to failing out? which is the easiest 6 year pharmd program to graduate from in your opinion? thank youu!

Hi ndngirl, I am currently a freshman at MCPHS and from your GPA and SATs I honestly can say you will easily get into MCPHS. I personally do not like MCPHS, but if you come here you might have a different feel for it, I just feel incredibly foreign here, especially since I am from California. There are free tutors, there’s a writing center if you need help in expository writing, there’s a math center if you are struggling with math, and etc., also all the professors have help hours, so if you don’t understand the material in class they will be there to help at their certain times. By the way, for chemistry here, freshman year you will either get a professor by the name of Garafalo or Depierro. Garafalo is the main professor who basically structures the class and you use a book he wrote. Some people like his method of teaching and others do not, I like his teaching it’s very easy to understand and I got an A- in his class although I got a C in my AP Chemistry class in high school. The way he teaches is that he basically reteaches and breaks down to you the fundamentals of chemistry. The class goes very slow first semester, I am sure you will be able to do well in it. Anyways, I hope I helped.
