You might have to forfeit your social life as you need all the time to prepare for your daily Japanese 1B quizzes while keeping up with the R1A reading.

I haven’t even talked about the curve for the first three courses you mentioned, but I’m sure you heard it from everyone.

Random, I’m gonna guess that you’re either Econ, Pre-Haas, Econ, or ORMS… based on your classes.

I would phase 1 Math 1B if you have a particular professor in mind, and your R1A and hope for the best with the two above will fill up fast.

Anyway, are you crazy? [sorry] Math 1B, UGBA10, and Econ1 are serious weeder classes. I would not take those three at the same time in addition to two other classes. Most of my pre-hass friends take Econ 1 in the spring and UGBA 10 in the fall of soph year.

You’ll be fine. Don’t worry about what other people say. (Especially counselors… =__=)

Phase I:
French R1a
Either Math 1B or UGBA 10

Phase II:
Everything else

I personally took UGBA 10 and Econ 1 together and found the courseload pretty easy. (the curve isn’t as bad as it sounds). And if you are pre-haas, get used to it.

Math 1B will hard work… so focus on this
French 1A shouldn’t be too bad, really depends on your teacher. It could either be your hardest class or a cakewalk :)

UGBA/Econ - Easy enough. No too many assignments. Econ PS take like 20min. UGBA essay/midterms take tops 5hrs.

Japanese: A ton of busy work. But you having taken 1A already know that :)

I apologize to single you out, but it’s not fair to assume that just because you had a good experience taking classes together that other people will also. If there’s one thing everyone needs to know, it’s that class ratings from other people should always be taken with a grain of salt.

I found Math 53 and Physics 7A were pretty easy, but it would be incorrect for me to say that they will be easy for everyone else.

On the other hand, CS61A for me was pretty tough, but others fall asleep in class and get an A+; it’s all relative.

And given that she’ll be taking over the standard workload, I think it’d be a good idea to rethink the classes she’s planning on taking next semester.

A schedule consisting of just Math 1b, ugba10, and econ 1 sounds pretty daunting already… You’ll be doing a lot of work for 1b (just because you need to practice in order to do well on the exams). I took 1b and ugba10 in the same semester, and I think having just 2 of the 3 will keep you sane.

Calculus is 3 semesters. Even though its math 1a, 1b, and 53, it might make more sense to you to think about it as math 1a, 1b, and 1c. The concepts taught in the beginning of 53 help transition a student used to single variable calculus to multi-variable. On the other hand, 54 just a whole new topic

I just found out my telebears appointment time. It’s really really late. (Phase I: 11/2; Phase II: 12/7) What classes should I phase I/II for in order to get in to most classes I want?

I’m planning to phase I Japan 1B (small class) and Math 1B (particular professor). How good is the chance to get into UGBA 10 if I phase II it?

By the way, am I allowed to take R&C and AC outside Berkeley? I’m considering concurrent enrollment at Berkeley CC.
