<p>Some of it is overexaggerated though, right? Most grad students I know seem to be relatively well-rounded and balanced (and seem to have other activities they get involved in).</p>

<p>Yeah, it's exaggerated (how would you "overexaggerate?" :p), but it's based on all the horror stories that you kind of learn are semi-true along the way.</p>
