PhD in neuroscience

Is it difficult to find a job with PhD in neuroscience?

What kind of job?

Most people with PhDs in science want to go on to postdoctoral positions in science, and no, it's not difficult to find a postdoc if you did your PhD work in a good lab, if you published several times in respectable journals, that sort of thing.

I mean a job after postdoc experience, like research scientist at the university, institute or biotech company. The question is: Is it too many neuroscientists around for positions available in neuroscience field? Is it overproduction of neuroscientists?

Well, it is a very brainy field.

I don't think it's terribly difficult to find a job as a research scientist in industry (again, assuming you did your postdoc in a respected lab and got some good publications out of the time). It is, of course, pretty terribly difficult to land a job as a professor, but that's not news.
