Hello,

I'm a current pharmacy student interested in a graduate degree in pharmacology. I'm in my first year of pharmacy school, but don't exactly know where to start. I do work in a lab and am doing some independent research on the side of my regular responsibilities.

My GPA is a bit low, in terms of undergraduate (I matriculated into the pharmacy school, and it's the same university overall for both undergrad and professional program), and barely above a 3.0. It's been on a steady rise for the past semester or two, so I hope to get it around 3.2-3.4 considering the coursework will only get more difficult.

I applied to this university from HS because it was in-state and leads to a professional program; so my "how to apply/choose" skills are pretty low. How would I go about picking a school/department/program? I do not want to continue at my university (spending that long here would be... painful). More specifically, how would I know which programs put less emphasis on GPA (or would be willing to ignore undergraduate/pre-professional GPA slip-ups)? I can't imagine that information would be readily told.

Thanks,
