phd in pharmacy

Hello there.. im a undergraduate student and im wondering. I did research in many university website checking the phd in medicinal chemistry requirements and obviously a bachelors degree is needed ,however im doing the pre requesites for pharmacy school to go directly to pharmd program without a bachelors degree.

So heres my question. Will i be able to apply to a phd in med chemistry with only a pharm.d degree or would i need a bachelors degree like a chemistry bs to apply.

Thanks...

Two suggestions on this:

 1. Check directly with whatever med chem PhD program you’re interested in and ask them directly.
 2. Many PharmD programs (especially 2+4 programs) do award bachelor’s degrees after the fourth year of the six, assuming you’ve met all the criteria necessary (primarily satisfactory completion of the requisite credits at a satisfactory GPA)… Again, you should check directly with whichever PharmD programs you are interested in.

As long as the pharmacy school takes you with those prerequisites you have. Yes a bachelor degree can be good as well.

I’m a sophomore in high school in NJ and was wondering what my chances are for Rutgers and university of the sciences 0-6 programs.

I was also curious if senior year counts with what classes I’m taking because I will take a good amount of AP classes that year as well as physics reg, which Rutgers recommends to take. I want to make sure they look at senior year too since I’ll take many science AP classes that year.

Also, I’ll be taking the new 1600 pt SAT, and was wondering about what score will be needed for admission to rutgers and USP. I have very smart kids in HS so is class rank very important?
