PHD International Politics

<p>I just took the GRE's and I was wondering if someone could help put my scores in perspective.</p>

<p>600 V 680 Q 5 A</p>

<p>I have an undergrad GPA of 3.8 in Government and Politcs from Maryland and an MA in Middle EAst Studies from Tel Aviv Univerisy. I speak Arabic and Hebrew, and finaly I am a vet. I spent everal years in US naval intel and served in Iraq.</p>

<p>I am looking at Poly Sci PhD programs in IR and comparative politics at Georgetown, John Hopkins, NYU. I am also applying to columbia as a stretch and Maryland and GW as back-ups.</p>

<p>Read the first couple pages of the "Grad School Admissions 101" thread and then start talking to the programs you're interested in and your professors at Maryland and Tel Aviv. </p>

<p>Expect to spend more time than you expect writing your SOP and getting your LORs together, especially if you've been out of school for a while.</p>

<p>You appear extremely well qualified.</p>
