PhD Political Science School search

Hi guys!

I am looking for graduate schools that have PhD programs with concentration on POL SCI/ IR with a possible focus on environment, energy policies etc. I've got an MA in IR with a focus on environmental policy.
Do you have any suggestions where I could apply? Maybe someone is interested in the same field and is already in a PhD program. I am an international student, I have been living in California though, so I would like to possibly stay in California and take my PhD here. But obviously I will consider schools elsewhere as well!

Thanks!

Really, this is research you need to do yourself. No offense, but figuring out what schools meet your needs is a highly personal process that depends on a wide array of factors.

You need to talk with your professors and peruse journal articles to find graduate advisors you’d be interested in working with. Look at department faculty listings - usually you can get a sense of each faculty member’s particular research interests.

Thanks for your reply and suggestions!
I have already contacted several schools and their specific departments. So actually I already have a more or less defined list of 5/6 schools I am probably going to apply to. I was just trying to figure it out if maybe someone had a similar research interests or knew about some IR and Env Pol departments that maybe I haven’t taken into consideration.
