<p>Yes. The Econ, Poli Sci, and Sociology numbers show a pretty striking strength in the social sciences/public policy arena at Swarthmore. I think it fits with the "culture" of the school -- both with the mission statement and the history that is intertwined with civic and political policy engagement.</p>

<p>Ironically, I think the Econ and Poli Sci departments are so popular at Swat that they probably a bit too large -- something that is pretty typical of elite colleges.</p>
