Hey guys,

I'm currently a Junior in the BME and EE double major B.S. program at Johns Hopkins University.

I have a ok GPA (~3.57) considering I'm a double engineering major with a few first author publications under my belt (~3 papers), and am pretty set on attending a PhD program in BME/BioE after I graduate.

My primary question has to do with where I should apply. I know JHU is #1 for BME, hands down, but will future employers looks down seeing I got B.S. and Ph.D. from the same place?

Should I attend Ph.D. at another institution (even if it is not ranked as high)?

I'm interested in Neural Engineering--BME Neurological Instrumentation, solving neuromedical problems, etc.

All your help is appreciated.

To summarize, my questions are:
1. Is doing B.S. + Ph.D at JHU bad for future employment (probably want to be a Prof)?
2. If #1 answer is anything but NO, what other schools have good neuroengineering Ph.D programs?

Thanks,
-K.K.
