<p>I would think that the classes are harder.</p>
<p>Harder classes. To get a PhD you don't need to take that many classes. In fact, coursework really isn't the key thing to a PhD. The key is quality research. But typical PhD programs will require a few classes. I think my program required 14 graduate level classes.</p>
<p>Harder but fewer classes. And, though you might still have a few required courses that are "basic" advanced classes, you also get to do specialized courses that delve (to varying degrees) into the latest research, so it's more interesting than undergrad courses.</p>
<p>Harder and fewer classes, but main part is doing a research project and defending it against a committee for your PhD..good luck</p>
