PHEAA Grant

I applied for my fafsa (online) and now I want to apply for a PHEAA grant, though when I try to apply through the PHEAA website, it says that I did not fill out my fafsa yet. Do I have to wait until my FAFSA has been processed before I can apply for a PHEAA grant?

Also is there a table or set of guidelines I can refer to so I can estimate the grant I am going to get. I am an in-state pa resident going to Pitt next fall and my info is:
EFC: $7,800
Gross Income: $60,000
Family Size: 4 (I will be only college student)

Does a grant of $2000-4000 sound about right?

Wait until your FAFSA is processed and you will get an email from PHEAA.

[PHEAA - Estimated State Grant Awards](http://www.pheaa.org/stategrants/estimated_awards.shtml)
your estimate sounds about right

I had recieved my email from FAFSA that it was processed but I have not recieved anything from PHEAA yet and it says I haven’t applied for the FAFSA yet when I try to apply for a grant. Is there a delay and if yes how long is it usually between the fafsa email and the pheaa email?

I think my daughter got her email a week or two after fafsa was processed. you have time.
