Phi Beta Kappa nomination

I was just curious to know what kind of gpa did one need to have in order to be nominated as a junior?

Out of curiosity, is it just GPA without regard to major for these nominations? If so, it seems like the harder majors are getting shafted.

Here’s the criteria page: CRIT00-01.doc[/url”>http://pbk.berkeley.edu/criteria.htm]CRIT00-01.doc

Pretty much for L&S majors.

My guess is 4.00.

Can Haas people get it?

No, Haas is not an L&S major (I think)

Sure Haas students can get it. It’s based on coursework and grades.

Phi Beta Kappa is intended for students who, as seniors, have exhibited academic excellence and rigor in a broad array of undergraduate courses in the **liberal arts **

and

A minimum of 75 Letters & Science units—from L&S departments or approved courses that satisfy the L&S 7-course breadth requirements (including language) but are not included in a non-L&S major (see current L&S Announcement Earning Your Degree).

^^ I don’t think Haas students are likely to fulfill that…

Does anyone know when they (the committee) are likely to send out nominations?

Dude they totally need to revamp their website design.

^ maybe they could hire you to do it; if you have the skills for it.
