<p>I've recently joined both of these organizations and want to ask about people's experience with them. They advertise themselves as being crucial in the college application process but are they really that important? At the meetings, I almost felt like they were saying joining was the golden ticket to UCLA.</p>

<p>Anyone have experience with these clubs?</p>

<p>Their not that important and their not by any means a golden ticket.</p>

<p>Being a member only shows that you’ve maintained a certain GPA (at least PTK… I never joined AGS). Your GPA will be evident on your transcript. Membership is more about the scholarship opportunities than boosting your chances for admission.</p>
