So my oblivious self has always had a dislike for "frats"
I was invited to join Phi Theta Kappa about 6 months ago and I blatantly tossed it away as they were asking for money....
Low and behold the school I want to get into has a program where they offer 10k scholarship if you are a member of PTK!

Now I contact my school and ask how I can join, but they say not until next year....and Im trying to apply for Spring 2011.....

Any ideas on what I should do?
thanks

Which school offers $10k scholarship for PTK members?
I think that unfortunately there’s nothing you can do because it’s the national/regional chapters that process applications so they have fixed dates… I think each semester.

Phi Theta Kappa is nothing like frats. It’s an honor society, so I guess it’s your own fault for not checking it before tossing the offer away. Good luck!

It isn’t a frat, it is an invite only honor society for 2 year colleges when you get above a certain gpa. I got a 14K scholarship from PTK for one of the schools I was admitted to. PTK is great to get involved with for leadership experience and community service as well.

If you tossed the invite letter you are out of luck until they send the invites out again at the end of next semester.

hmm nm, talked with the lady at my school and they said they will be opened again on August.
Thanks guys anyways
