How beneficial is it to join this organization?

I gave the 75 dollars never been to a single meeting

again, the benefit of joining a club is to seek out the opportunities from it. yes, there will be like fei, who join for the sake of putting on thier application, but doing this is missing out on a wide spectrum of opportunity, specifically, the focus on scholarships. if you've heard of the coca cola scholarship for high school, then you need to know that there's a coca cola scholarship for two years, exclusively through ptk. anyway, it's up to the individual what they want to gain from thier own experience, but the point is, the organization is only as beneficial to you as you want it to be.

I agree but even if you use PTK as just as application fluff is certainly can not hurt as it is a nationally recognized organization.

wish i cud start my own club and charge ppl $75 a pop to join

ptk is a national honor society, so it would help applying to outa state schools. however if you're applying to schools in your state, alpha gamma sigma is the way to go.

the 75 bucks goes to scholarships, etc

I am already teh vice president of Engineering Club...dont have timet o go to those meetings...

How readily does the organization give out scholarships for transfer students?
