<p>I received a letter via snail mail with an invitation to join PTK. Is it worth joining? Do top schools look favorably upon members of PTK from CCs?</p>

<p>Yes. Phi Theta Kappa is an honor society for 2 year schools. There’s a fee to pay but with that fee there is access to many scholarships. If you scroll through some of the threads you’ll see numerous people who are in PTK. It’ll benefit you.</p>

<p>I signed up for it for the scholarships. It cost me $72 to join, but they offer a lot of transfer scholarships.</p>

<p>Joined it. Applied for scholarships. Got nothing with a 3.9 GPA and tons of volunteer work. Now it’s simply an “honors” to add to my resume. Pretty lame imo.</p>
