If you're interested in lehigh i think you'll have a lot of fun even if bethleham is a little boring in itself. I also think you'll find a lot of philly kids. A lot of my friends go there and they commute back and forth to philly very easily (if they have a family party one night or something like that) as long as you don't go during rush hours its like 2 hours there and back.

Temple has a decent reputation in Philadelphia- the med school is excellent. The surrounding area is bad.

Temple has a GREAT rep. in Philly. It gets a bad rep around myself, and the surrounded snobby 'I'm too good for a state school not named Penn State' area. People honestly think so little of it here. Needless to say, I know better than they do. Temple is amazing in a lot more areas then given credit, namely their highly underrated business school. The area isn't as bad as people think. Temple recently bought a helluva lot of land to help rid the negativity surrounding the school. Theyre putting in a megaplex theatre, food places, and shopping. Given a few years, it'll be much more equal to penn state and pittsburgh.

I agree with jpod. Temple has a solid rep. except for the rich areas in Philly where they look down upon Temple. Its definitely an underrated school thats on the rise.

haha, sorry for calling lehigh rural, it always seemed that way to me. plus, with a name like bethlehem ...

It's so true. People at my school look down at Temple so much. It's pretty much equal to a community college to them. I know otherwise. My dad went there :)
