Philips Academy Andover Accept/Waitlist/Reject

Hey there,

I just wanted to get a general sense of what happened with the accept/waitlist/reject with Philisp Academy Andover.
Please try to talk about Andover only, and if you have some previous information/knowledge about any stats at Andover (for waitlist, etc), feel free to share.
Also, if you feel comfortable enough, why not share your grades, extracurriculars, and other general comments that other people can compare to?

Cheers,
Ian

Wait listed.

They probably figured if you are already taking college classes, you won’t need Andover.

I mean andover does offer college level courses, as well as the opportunity to pursue independent projects. Acceptance to any school is always a crapshot, so don’t put yourself down too much. Plus, this year’s acceptance was particularly difficult dur to the over-enrollment last application cycle.

I’m applying to Andover this year as a 9th Grader.
A & B Student, nut mostly A’s (I got a 78 in Math in 7th Grade due to family problems)
Football Player
Practice SSAT- 90th Percentile (Taking It In Jan)
Does Community Service…
What Are My Chances??

^^^Why are you asking for chances here? There is a sub forum for this charade where people with no ability to give you meaningful information will be happy to make uninformed remarks. Only the admissions office of the schools to which you are applying know your chances. Apply, and on March 10th you will know what your chances are.

As an 11th grader, if you’re waitlisted at PA, is it likely that you are offered a spot? And about when? Thanks!!
