<p>I did the same essay topic, the 500 dollars to make a change in your community. What did you say that you would do to change your community?</p>
<p>One bad thing that might lower my chances is that I turned in my application like 10 days before it was due… laziness on my part… I hate falling for procrastination…</p>

<p>yeah, definitely boarding! it’s one of the things that i’m msot looking forward to! (assuming i get in:)) i can’t wait! altho my family is kind of bummed that i might be leaving. My dad keeps saying things like “i think you’d do great at beaverton High school” or when we’re watching a movie “don’t you want to stay here a couple more years, have family time?” it’s kind of funny, but sad too. The campus was amazing though, absolutely beautiful!</p>

<p>LOL, yeah my parents are reacting sort of the same way…even tho we live like 45 minutes away. I think that they are sort of over reacting… I mean 45 minutes drive away, and I am going to come home every weekend…
A couple of times, my mom has even said that if I get in, she will buy a house in Andover, close to the school. I think shes joking, but I cant be sure with my mom…</p>
<p>I said that I would set up a sort of one day school for elderly people to learn how to use a computer, email, word processing… that kind of stuff b/c elderly people aren’t really comp geeks, like a lot of todays kids are… and this would be a great way for them to communicate with their family, who are all using computers…</p>

<p>randy 517, yup i got an arts schools. i came for theatre but then got interested in dance and creative writing, so now i do all three!</p>
<p>hopefullapplican, i don’t really want to say everything about it on an open message board, but i just made a lot of connections to people with cancer in my own life nd how much worse it would be for a kid and how i’d want to make it a slightly less painful process for them.</p>

<p>Mine are, Middlesex, and Concord Academy, although my public school is very good - its in the top 5 in Mass. (not to brag or anything)</p>

<p>Neither of those are safety schools. Both have 25 - 30% acceptance rates.</p>
