Hello guys, I need some help. The FA at PEA is totally need-blind for international students? or it depends?
PEA is not need-blind at all.
I’m curious about why you are so emphatic.
There’s no opinion stated here; it’s a point of fact. PEA is not need-blind for domestic applicants, nor is it need-blind for international applicants. If an applicant is admitted and needs FA, they are very generous. However, admissions is well aware of an applicant’s financial status.

Also, “International students are eligible to receive financial aid. However, Exeter has limited funds available for this purpose.”
Andover does not single out international students in its need blind policy. I personally know a couple of international students who are on FA but the majority of them seem to be not. Depending on where you are from, for both schools, it could be incredibly hard to get in FA or not, or get admitted and funded due to the “diversity” factor.
@panpacifi --can you elaborate on the “diversity” factor?
If you are from a country/region where few or even no one at all have attended a US boarding school, you may have an advantage in admission because you’d be a contribution to the student body diversity some schools like to have.
Ah. That is what I thought you meant. We may need to move to North Dakota. Now.
We have been joking about that for college admission. Cost of living is pretty low in North Dakota too :).
