Hi,

I've been looking through the Exeter application. I realize that they ask for a music/supplemental form. I'm just curious as to whether Exeter requires a graded English essay or something of that sort.

Thank you.

At least last year I think one needed to send in an essay from school but maybe not this year or I’m just mistaken. It doesn’t seem required after I browsed through [Phillips Exeter Academy | How To Apply](Apply for admission | Phillips Exeter Academy)

Thank you for your interest in Exeter. We do not require a graded essay, although there is an essay requirement. Please see the “Student Essays” section at [Phillips Exeter Academy | How To Apply](Apply for admission | Phillips Exeter Academy) for specifics.

Best of luck with your application!
